The management wall every growing trade business hits
When you are working alone, you know everything: every job, every customer, every pound in and out. Add a second worker and you spend more time managing than working. Add a third and fourth, and suddenly you are fielding calls about who is going where, who has not been paid correctly, and why a customer is unhappy with a job you never saw.
The management problem is not a people problem. It is a systems problem. And most trade software is built for one person, not a growing team.
Who is going where today?
Three workers, three conversations
Without a central dispatch system, every morning starts with phone calls. Workers wait for instructions. Jobs start late. Customers notice.
Workers questioning their earnings
Manual pay calculations invite errors
When pay is calculated by hand at the end of the week, errors happen. Disputes damage morale and trust faster than almost anything else.
You do not know what happened
No record of what was done on site
Without job completion logs, you rely on worker word-of-mouth for what happened on site. Customer disputes become impossible to resolve fairly.
Favouritism, real or perceived
Same workers, same jobs, every time
When you manually assign jobs, the same workers get the best shifts. Others feel sidelined — even when it is unintentional — and leave.
How OptiTech Automation manages your growing trade team
- Every worker gets their own mobile portal — jobs, schedules, and customer details in their pocket
- Dispatch fairness is built in: OptiTech Automation assigns work to the lowest-earning available worker, keeping the team earning equally
- Job completion logging means you always have a record of what was done, when, and by whom
- Pay governance follows UK employment law — changes require proper notice periods and worker acknowledgement
- Admin sees a live dashboard showing every worker, every job, and every open booking at a glance
- Worker performance, earnings, and job history are tracked automatically — no spreadsheets
How many workers can I add?
Standard tier supports up to 7 workers. Growth supports up to 25, and Dominator supports up to 100. You can upgrade as your team grows.
Can workers see each other s earnings?
No. Each worker only sees their own jobs, schedule, and earnings. Only managers and admins see team-wide financial data.
What if I need to change a worker s pay rate?
Pay rate changes follow UK employment law within the platform — workers are notified, given appropriate notice, and must acknowledge the change before it takes effect.
Can I manage workers across multiple locations?
Yes. OptiTech Automation supports service area configuration per worker, so you can run teams in different towns or regions from a single admin account.
