The price, in the open

BigChange

BigChange does not publish its pricing. The pricing page offers a Request pricing button that routes to a demo booking, with no rate card shown. Checked July 2026.

That is normal at enterprise scale, where deals are bespoke. It also means a smaller trade business cannot price the decision from the outside.

OptiTech Automation

Standard is £599 a month plus £249 setup and covers up to ten on the tools, with Growth at £1,749 covering up to twenty-five. Both published. Every tier is on the pricing page.

If your operation is genuinely enterprise-sized, our price list will look small to you, and that is the honest signal it should send.

Different weight classes, honestly

BigChange is an enterprise platform built around fleets, facilities management and large field-service operations. It sells to businesses with procurement processes, operations managers and vehicle policies. That is a real market, and BigChange is a serious player in it.

OptiTech Automation is not trying to be that. We are built for the UK trade business from a couple of vans to about 25 on the tools, where the owner is the operations department and the buying decision happens at the kitchen table, not in a tender. If this page reads like it was written for a smaller business than yours, trust that instinct and take the BigChange demo instead.

The demo wall

To learn what BigChange costs, you request pricing and take a demo. Checked July 2026, no numbers are published. For an enterprise buyer that is expected. For an owner with three vans it is a fortnight of emails to answer a question we answer on one page.

Our approach is simpler: £599 a month plus £249 setup covers up to ten on the tools, £1,749 covers up to twenty-five, both published, and you can check either number right now without giving anyone your phone number.

What booking-first means at our size

Enterprise field service revolves around jobs pushed out from an office: planned work, contracts, routes. OptiTech Automation revolves around customers pulling work in. They open your booking page, pick a genuinely free slot, and pay a deposit by card at that exact moment, into your own Stripe account. The money never touches OptiTech Automation.

The auto-dispatch engine then offers the job to the right worker, with the owner keeping final say. For a domestic and small commercial trade team, that is the whole admin burden of a booking gone.

No, we do not do vehicle tracking

Telematics, vehicle tracking and fleet management are core BigChange territory, and we do not compete there. If tracking a fleet is a hard requirement, you need them or a dedicated telematics provider, and this is us telling you that on our own comparison page.

What we run instead: the booking page, deposits at booking, auto-dispatch, the offline-first worker app, and two-way Xero sync, from a company that is one accountable UK founder, UK GDPR compliant, ICO registered and EU-hosted.

The two-minute evaluation

Evaluating enterprise software is a project: demos, stakeholder calls, a pricing proposal, references. Some businesses need that rigour, and BigChange serves them properly.

Evaluating OptiTech Automation is deliberately smaller. Read the pricing page: £599 a month plus £249 setup to ten on the tools, £1,749 to twenty-five. Run your headcount through the worth-it calculator. If it still looks right, book a 15 minute call with the founder, who is also the person who built the platform and the person who will set yours up. The whole evaluation costs you one evening.

Priced for adding a van, not a fleet

Plan pricing is a philosophy about growth. When you put a second or a fifth van on the road, your software bill should not be part of the decision. Within Standard, ours does not move: £599 a month whether you are four on the tools or nine. Past ten, the step is a published number, £1,749 for up to twenty-five, not a renegotiation.

Terms are 30-day rolling with no exit fees. Your card is authorised at signup and nothing is charged until you go live. If you outgrow us into fleet territory, we will say so, and this page tells you exactly where that line is.

Honest advice

Who should stay where

Stay with BigChange if

  • You run a fleet of 30 plus vehicles, or facilities management contracts with corporate clients.
  • You need vehicle tracking and telematics as part of the platform.
  • You have procurement, implementation resource and an operations team to run an enterprise system.

Move to OptiTech Automation if

  • You run a couple of vans to about 25 on the tools and want the price before the conversation.
  • You want customers booking online with the deposit taken automatically at booking.
  • You want to be live in days on rolling terms, not through an enterprise onboarding.

Questions owners ask about switching from BigChange

BigChange is an enterprise platform for fleets, facilities management and large field-service operations, with pricing behind a demo request. OptiTech Automation is for UK trade teams from a couple of vans to about 25: plan pricing from £599 a month, published, with customers booking online and the deposit taken at booking.

Yes. OptiTech Automation publishes every tier: Standard is £599 a month plus £249 setup for up to ten on the tools, and Growth at £1,749 covers up to twenty-five. BigChange does not publish pricing; its pricing page routes to a demo request (checked July 2026).

BigChange positions for fleets, facilities management and enterprise field service, and it does not publish pricing (checked July 2026). If you run a couple of vans, an enterprise demo cycle is a lot of process to answer a question a pricing page can answer in two minutes.

No, and we will not pretend it does. Telematics is BigChange territory. If fleet tracking is a hard requirement, choose them or a dedicated telematics provider. We run bookings, deposits at booking, auto-dispatch, the worker app and Xero two-way sync.

Your card is authorised at signup, but your subscription is not charged until you go live and your systems are running. Terms are 30-day rolling with no exit fees, and there is no implementation fee beyond the £249 setup.

Our pricing is public, the worth-it calculator does your own sums in about two minutes, and the call is 15 minutes with the founder, not a sales team.
